Raw material
As soon as the spring arrives the goatherds carefully comb away the precious underhair, gathering the few ounces of fibre that come from each goat. Every trace of cashmere fibre is gathered up then sent on the long journey by yak, horse, raft and sampan until it finally crosses half the world to reach the processing mills in Scotland and Italy.

Manufacture
Once the cashmere has been sorted, cleaned separated and graded, it moves on again to the spinning mills. The rare white cashmere is used for the pale pastel shades, the brown and grey for the darker tones. Each follows its own path acquiring, as it goes, that richness and depth of colour that is associated only with cashmere.
